Creating Your Website

Creating a website on ListHouze takes just a few minutes. The setup wizard walks you through choosing a template, setting your brand colors and fonts, and selecting a theme. Once complete, your website is live immediately on a ListHouze subdomain.

Accessing the Website Builder

Navigate to Website in your dashboard sidebar. You can also reach it from these routes depending on your account type:

  • Agents: Agent Dashboard → Website
  • Agencies: Owner Dashboard → Website
  • Mortgage Brokers: Mortgage Dashboard → Website
  • Private Sellers: Seller Dashboard → Website

All paths lead to the same Website Builder portal.

The Setup Wizard

When you first access the Website Builder, the setup wizard appears automatically. It has up to five steps depending on your account type.

Step 1: Who Are You?

Select your website type - Agency, Agent, Mortgage Broker, or Private Seller.

Tip

This step is automatically skipped if your account type is already known. For example, if you are logged in as an agent, the wizard starts directly at Step 2 with "Agent" pre-selected. This saves you a click and ensures your templates are pre-filtered to match your role.

Step 2: Choose a Template

Browse the template marketplace to find a starting point for your website. Each template includes a pre-configured home page layout with sections, default branding colors, and a suggested theme.

Available templates include:

TemplateBest ForSections Included
Auckland ProAgenciesHero with search, featured listings, about, team, CTA, contact
Sydney AgentIndividual agentsHero, featured listings, about, testimonials, contact
Wellington ClassicBoutique agenciesHero, featured listings, about, team, contact
Melbourne BoutiqueLuxury marketHero with search, featured listings, about, stats, team, CTA
Christchurch ModernAgentsHero, featured listings, about, CTA, contact

Templates show live miniature previews so you can see exactly what your site will look like before selecting one. You can fully customize any template after creation.

Step 3: Branding

Set your initial brand identity:

  • Primary color - The main color used for buttons, links, and accents
  • Secondary color - Used for secondary elements and backgrounds
  • Heading font - The typeface for all headings (choose from Google Fonts)
  • Body font - The typeface for paragraph text
  • Logo - Upload your agency or personal logo
  • Hero image - The large background image on your home page

You can change all of these later from the Branding editor.

Step 4: Select a Theme

Choose from available themes that control the overall visual style of your website:
