Client Messaging
The messaging system lets you communicate with clients directly within ListHouze. Conversations happen in real time - no page refresh required.
Accessing Messages
From the sidebar, navigate to Activity > Messages, or go directly to /dashboard/mortgage/messages.
Conversation List
The left panel displays all your message threads, sorted by most recent activity. Each conversation shows:
- Client name
- Preview of the latest message
- Timestamp of last activity
- Unread message count badge
Searching Conversations
Use the search bar at the top of the conversation list to search across all your threads. You can search by client name, subject, property reference, or suburb.
Reading & Replying
Click on a conversation to open the full chat view in the main panel. Messages are displayed as chat bubbles with date dividers separating different days.
Composing Messages
Type your message in the input field at the bottom of the chat area and press Enter or click Send. Messages are delivered instantly.
Read Receipts
The system tracks when messages are read, so you can see whether your client has viewed your response.
Quick Reply Suggestions
To help you respond efficiently, the platform offers pre-built quick reply suggestions tailored to mortgage broker conversations. Click a suggestion to insert it into the message input, then edit as needed before sending.
File Attachments
You can send files within a conversation - useful for sharing loan documents, rate comparisons, or pre-approval letters. Click the attachment icon in the message input area to select a file.
Managing Conversations
Archiving
Archive a conversation to remove it from your active list without deleting the message history. Archived conversations can be accessed later if needed.
Deleting
Delete a conversation to permanently remove it from your inbox.
Property Links
When a conversation is linked to a specific property listing, you can navigate directly to that listing from within the chat.
Real-Time Updates
Messages are delivered and displayed in real time using live subscriptions. You don't need to refresh the page - new messages appear automatically as they arrive.
