Creating Posts

The post editor is where your social media content comes to life. It provides a full-featured editing environment with per-platform content panels, media management, and a real-time phone preview so you can see exactly how your post will appear on each social platform before publishing.

The Post Editor Layout

The editor uses a two-panel layout:

PanelWhat It Contains
Left panel (Editor)Post title, AI content generator, per-platform content panels, media selector, channel toggles, and scheduling options
Right panel (Preview)Real-time phone mockup preview, plus tabs for Actions, Metadata, and Comments

On mobile devices the layout stacks vertically with the editor above and the preview below.

Starting a New Post

Navigate to the Content Creation portal and click Create from the calendar or posts list. You can also create a new post directly from any listing page by clicking Create Social Post — this pre-selects the listing and loads its photos automatically.

When creating a new post:

  1. Enter an internal title for your reference (this is not published to social media)
  2. Select a content type from the dropdown:
Content TypeDescriptionPreview Format
PostStandard feed post1:1 or 4:5 aspect ratio
ReelShort-form vertical video9:16 aspect ratio
StoryEphemeral vertical content9:16 aspect ratio

Per-Platform Content

The editor includes independent content panels for each platform you plan to post to. This lets you tailor your message to each audience while maintaining a consistent theme.

  • Instagram — Caption with hashtag suggestions and a 2,200 character limit
  • Facebook — Post text with link preview support and a 63,206 character limit
  • LinkedIn — Professional caption with a 3,000 character limit

Each panel shows a live character count so you stay within platform limits. You can write unique content for each platform or use the AI generator to create all three at once and then fine-tune individually.

Adding Media

The media section of the editor supports multiple ways to add images and videos:

  • Upload files — Drag and drop or click to upload images and video from your computer
  • Listing photos — When a listing is selected, its property photos appear as a selectable grid with checkboxes
  • Media Library — Click Browse Library to choose from premium templates or your previously uploaded assets

Selected media appears in the preview panel immediately so you can see how it looks in context.

Phone Preview

The right panel displays a realistic phone mockup that updates in real time as you edit. The preview adapts to your selected content type:

  • Posts show in standard 1:1 or 4:5 format with your caption below
  • Reels and Stories show in full 9:16 vertical format with caption overlay
  • Media, captions, and platform branding all render in the preview

Tip

Use the phone preview to check how your caption length, media cropping, and hashtag placement look before publishing. What looks good on a desktop editor can sometimes feel different on a phone-sized preview.

Saving and Publishing

The editor gives you three options when your post is ready:

ActionWhat Happens
Save DraftSaves the post without scheduling or publishing. It appears in your posts list and the Unplanned drawer on the calendar.
Publish NowImmediately publishes the post to all toggled-on channels.
ScheduleSaves the post with a scheduled date and time. It will be published automatically at the specified time.

Creating from a Listing

When you click Create Social Post from a listing detail page, the editor opens with the listing pre-selected. This means:

  • The AI content generator is ready to generate captions based on the listing's property details
  • All listing photos are loaded and available for selection
  • Property information (address, price, features) is available for the AI to reference

This is the fastest way to create marketing content for a specific property.
